Happy New Year!

2010 is going to be a GREAT year for lupus treatment since Benlysta should get FDA approval.  It will be the first drug specifically for lupus in over 50 years.  Incredible!   And from what I have read, it will target specific B cells that harm us verses current immunosuppressants that suppress the whole body.  It will not work for everyone, but it is progress.  Hopefully as a result, more pharmaceutical companies will invest more money in research & development for even more lupus drugs.

I am ready for a fresh start for 2010 and know it is going to be the best yet!  My New Year's resolution is to update this page daily as often as possible and to get some people reading & subscribing to it.  So if you are reading this, PLEASE just leave a comment or subscribe to my feed so I know I am not alone out there in blogspace!

xoxo
